Any chance we'll get another Fire Emblem game with visuals like Shadows of Valentia?

I can’t stop thinking about how awesome Shadows of Valentia looks compared to the newer Switch Fire Emblem games. Hidari’s artwork is just incredible and I really want to see more of it in future titles. The character portraits showing more than just faces and the story being told through beautiful artwork instead of 3D models really stood out to me.

The UI and menus are so stylish too. Even though the cutscenes can be a bit stiff, I like how they have a more 2D feel than Three Houses. The art style is still anime-inspired but feels more serious with its rustic colors and details.

The music is amazing too. They took Gaiden’s old school tunes and made them into beautiful orchestral pieces. Plus there are different versions of each song which is cool. The voice acting is top-notch and covers most of the game.

I really enjoyed the point-and-click style parts where you explore and talk to characters. The dungeons were fun too. It all made the world feel more alive.

The battle animations looked great for a 3DS game. I’m okay with 3D characters on maps, but I liked the mix of sprites and 3D here. Three Houses’ graphics can look a bit rough sometimes.

What do you guys think? Would you want another Fire Emblem game with this kind of presentation?

Shadows of Valentia was gorgeous. The art style really set it apart.

I’d love to see that look return, but Nintendo seems set on 3D for Switch games.

Maybe they could blend some 2D elements into the next title for the best of both worlds?

SoV’s visuals were pretty sweet. The art style and music really nailed that medieval fantasy vibe. I’d be down for another FE game like that, but I doubt they’ll go back to 2D stuff on Switch. Maybe they could do a remake with updated graphics but keep that classic feel?

Man, Shadows of Valentia was a visual feast. The artwork and atmosphere were on point. While I’d love to see that style again, I think Nintendo’s pushing for more 3D stuff these days. Still, they could probably blend some of those 2D elements into a new game. The character portraits and UI from SoV were killer. Maybe they’ll surprise us with a remake that keeps that classic vibe but with modern touches.
