I just saw that the latest Microsoft Flight Simulator game on Steam is getting tons of bad reviews. It’s weird because I thought people were really excited about it. Does anyone know what went wrong? I heard the developers said something about not realizing how many people were looking forward to it. What exactly happened and why are so many players unhappy? I’m curious to hear from people who’ve tried it or know more about the situation. Is it just bugs or are there bigger problems with the game?
Yeah, launch day issues can really sour the experience. I’ve been burned before waiting for a game only to have it be unplayable at release. Hopefully they’ll iron out the kinks soon. When it’s working right, Flight Sim is pretty amazing from what I’ve seen.
Classic case of hype vs reality. Happens with big releases sometimes.
Sounds like they bit off more than they could chew at launch.
Giving it some time to stabilize is probably smart.
I’ve been following this mess. The game itself is amazing, but the launch was a disaster. Servers crashed, tons of bugs, and performance issues galore. People waited so long for this game, and then couldn’t even play it properly on day one. It’s a shame because when it works, it’s incredible. But first impressions matter a lot in gaming.
Lots of bugs and performance issues at launch. The devs underestimated demand, so servers were overloaded too. Frustrating for eager players who waited years for this.
Oof, launch day problems are the worst. Kinda reminds me of Diablo 3’s messy release. Sucks for the folks who were hyped to play right away. I’ll probably wait a bit before grabbing it myself, let them smooth things out first.
