I’ve been noticing a lot of terrible simulator games and knock-off versions of popular titles in app stores lately. It’s really frustrating to see these low-effort games getting approved and taking up space. Does anyone know what’s going on with the approval process? Are there any quality standards at all? I’m curious about how these games make it through and if there’s anything we as consumers can do about it. It seems like the market is getting flooded with these subpar games, making it harder to find genuinely good titles. What do you guys think about this trend?
Ugh, those cheap clones are everywhere these days. It’s a pain to find good games now.
I guess app stores just want more content to make money off. Maybe we could start tagging the good indie games to help them stand out?
Yeah, I’ve seen a ton of those cheap clones too. It’s pretty annoying when you’re looking for good games. I guess app stores just want more content to make money. Wish they’d be pickier though. Maybe leaving honest reviews could help a bit?
It’s frustrating for sure. The market’s flooded with copycats.
Some players still buy them though, so they keep coming.
Best we can do is support good devs and warn others about the junk.
Money talks. Those clones probably rake in quick cash.
App stores could tighten standards, but that’d cut profits.
Leaving detailed reviews might help steer people clear at least.
Sadly it’s all about the money. These cheap clones are easy to make and can still turn a profit. App stores don’t really care as long as they get their cut.
I try to report the worst offenders, but it feels like a losing battle sometimes. Maybe if enough of us speak up, the stores will eventually listen and crack down on this junk.
