Hey everyone! I’ve been keeping up with the Dark Pictures Anthology and I’m aware that more titles are on the way for the second series. I’m really curious to know which game has everyone buzzing with excitement.
I enjoyed the first series with titles like Man of Medan and House of Ashes because of their engaging horror themes and decision-making aspects. Now that the new series is coming, I want to know which upcoming game people are most eager to play.
Have any of you watched trailers or come across details about the new titles? Which one do you think will feature the best storyline or the most terrifying scenes? I’d really like to know your thoughts and what makes you excited about a specific game.
Honestly I’m most hyped for Intercession. The whole religious cult angle they’re pushing looks genuinely creepy, and from what I’ve seen the atmosphere looks way more unsettling than anything from the first series. The cult horror genre has so much potential when done right, and Supermassive usually nails those psychological elements that make you question what’s real.
I’m really looking forward to Directive 8020. The space horror setting seems like it could be genuinely terrifying, especially with their improved motion capture tech. The idea of being trapped on a space station with whatever’s lurking around sounds way more claustrophobic than their previous games. Plus I’m hoping they learned from some of the pacing issues in the first anthology.
Switchback VR caught my attention since I’m curious how they’ll handle the horror atmosphere in virtual reality. Could be really intense or completely ruin the immersion depending on how well they pull it off.
