I’m trying to choose between Pummel Party and Gang Beasts for my next gaming session. From what I’ve gathered, Pummel Party is a board game combined with mini-games, much like Mario Party or Wii Party. Currently, I can connect three controllers to my laptop and also use the keyboard for a fourth player. I’m curious if I can use Steam’s Remote Play Together feature to link another laptop, allowing for a fifth player in the same local game. Has anyone had experience with this setup? Can the game actually handle 5 players in local multiplayer?
Pummel Party can handle up to 8 local players, so having 5 is definitely doable. Remote Play Together works well too, just make sure the host has good internet for smoother gameplay.
Five players runs smooth. I’d pick Pummel Party over Gang Beasts for groups - the board game setup keeps everyone involved even when they’re not playing.
Works great with 5 players through Remote Play Together. I’ve done it multiple times and had no issues.
Pummel Party’s perfect for this - handles up to 8 players so you’re good with 5. Remote Play Together works great, just make sure you’ve got decent upload speeds. Between Pummel Party and Gang Beasts, I’d go with Pummel Party for bigger groups since everyone stays engaged the whole time.
Yeah, 8 players max so you’re fine with 5. I’ve used Remote Play Together with it and it works well. Tested it last month. Just make sure the host has good upload speed - otherwise remote players might lag during the crazy minigames.
