I’ve been playing this game for a while now, and I can’t help but notice how much throat slitting is involved. It’s pretty intense! I’m wondering if anyone else feels like the current title doesn’t really capture what the game is about. Maybe it should be called something more graphic to give new players a heads up? What do you guys think? Is the violence level surprising to anyone else, or am I just being too sensitive? I’m curious to hear other players’ opinions on this.
Nah, I don’t think they need to change the title. Most games these days have some pretty intense stuff in them. As long as the rating is right, people can figure out what they’re getting into. The title should be more about the story anyway, not just the violence.
I get where you’re coming from, but game titles usually focus on the overall theme or story. The violence is part of the gameplay, sure, but it’s not the whole picture. As long as the rating and box art give fair warning, I think that’s enough for most players to know what they’re getting into.
Honestly, I don’t think changing the title is necessary. Most gamers these days expect a certain level of violence in action games. As long as it’s rated appropriately and has content warnings, that should be enough. The current title probably fits the overall theme and changing it just for the violence might give the wrong impression about what the game’s really about.
Ratings and content warnings exist for a reason. Changing the title could undermine the game’s overall theme.
Depends on the game’s rating and target audience.
If it’s already rated M, probably fine as is.
For a T-rated game, yeah, might need a heads up about the gore level.
