Retro-style indie horror game from mid-2010s: Help me find it!

Hey everyone! I’m trying to track down this creepy game I saw on YouTube a while back. It’s bugging me that I can’t remember the name.

Here’s what I recall:

  • Indie horror puzzle game
  • Played around 2014-2018
  • Graphics looked a lot like IMSCARED
  • Set in a spooky house
  • Starts in the kitchen (I think)
  • You’re supposed to cut something for a family meal
  • Things go south when you accidentally hurt someone
  • Lots of indoor puzzles, some outdoor stuff too
  • Really dark and gritty atmosphere
  • Pretty sure a big YouTuber like Markiplier played it

Does this ring any bells? I’d love to play it myself now. Thanks for any help!

Sounds like ‘Anatomy’ maybe? Creepy house game, retro graphics, puzzle stuff. Not 100% sure but it fits some of what you described. Anyone else have ideas?

Man, that game sounds familiar but I can’t place it either. Definitely reminds me of some weird indie horror stuff from back then. There were so many creepy little games coming out. The kitchen and accidentally hurting someone bits are ringing bells, but I’m drawing a blank on the name. Might be worth digging through old YouTube horror game compilations to see if it pops up.

I remember a game like that! Starts in the kitchen, gets all messed up. Was it called ‘Cooking Companion’ maybe? Had that creepy retro vibe for sure. Those indie horror games can be so freaky.

Sounds like it could be ‘Cooking Companion’ or maybe ‘Anatomy’. There were tons of creepy indie games back then. The kitchen start and accidentally hurting someone part is ringing a bell. Have you tried searching old horror game compilation videos? Might spot it there.

Hmm, not sure if it’s Anatomy. I remember a game kinda like that though. Had a really unsettling vibe and messed-up puzzles. Wish I could recall the name. Hopefully someone here knows it!
