Playing Overcooked! 2 with Friends from Impact

I’m trying to get Overcooked! 2 to work well while playing with my friends from Impact. We’re encountering some challenges, and I could really use some advice on how to resolve them.

Has anyone managed to successfully host multiplayer games with friends from Impact in Overcooked! 2? I’m interested in any configuration tips, potential compatibility issues we should be aware of, or general recommendations to improve our gaming experience.

Yeah, online gets buggy sometimes. When we’re stuck, everyone just quits to main menu and rejoins the lobby.

Steam invites tend to be more reliable than the in-game lobby. Just send invites straight through your Steam friends list; it’s usually quicker. Also, ensure everyone is using the same mods and game version to avoid connection issues.

Make sure everyone’s on the same network. If that doesn’t work, try switching who’s hosting.

Try temporarily disabling your antivirus or firewall if the connection keeps dropping. Also check your NAT type - strict NAT screws with multiplayer.

Try port forwarding if the basic fixes didn’t work for your connection issues.

I haven’t played with friends from Impact, but I’ve run into many issues with Overcooked 2 multiplayer. If someone can’t join, try restarting the game; that helps most of the time. Also, make sure everyone has the same DLC installed, since that can cause problems. Honestly, the netcode can be a bit rough.
