I’ve heard some exciting news about the Nintendo Switch 2 and its ability to share games. Is it true that I could buy one game and use it on both the new Switch 2 and the original Switch? I’m interested to know if this allows friends or family to play together using just one purchase. For example, if I have the new console and my friend has the original, can we play the game at the same time?
This would be great for those who want to enjoy multiplayer gaming without having to buy several copies. Has anyone gotten any official updates on this game-sharing feature, or is it still just a rumor? I’m considering whether to wait for the Switch 2 based on these possible options.
I get the excitement, but until Nintendo confirms something, it’s all just talk. They’ve been pretty quiet about features like that. Might be best to hold off on any hype for now.
Nintendo isn’t really about game sharing like Xbox or PlayStation. The current sharing options for the Switch aren’t as great as what you might find elsewhere. You probably won’t be able to share games across different console generations either, since they prefer you buy games for each system. That’s their business model.
