I’m trying to remember this indie survival horror game I played around 2010 or so. The game begins with your character inside a tiny cabin or hut during an endless sandstorm that covers everything outside. There was a water well nearby that you could use. The main gameplay involved venturing out into the storm to scavenge for supplies and food while dealing with the harsh conditions. I think your character had some kind of ranged weapon, maybe a bow or something similar for protection. The atmosphere was really creepy and the constant storm made exploration challenging. Does anyone know what this game is called? I’ve been searching everywhere but can’t seem to find it anywhere online.
This is driving me nuts - I swear I’ve played something like this but can’t remember what it was. That cabin/well/sandstorm combo rings a bell. Did you check itch.io’s older stuff or the Internet Archive? A lot of these obscure indies only made it onto random file sharing sites back then and they’re basically impossible to find now.
Try searching “sandstorm survival indie” on old gaming forums or abandoned game archives
You might want to dive into some indie game archives. That sandstorm vibe sounds unique and definitely memorable.
That game sounds interesting! The whole sandstorm setting adds a lot of tension. I’d suggest looking into indie horror games from around that time or checking out forums for hidden gems that match your description.
Sounds like an old gem! There were quite a few indie games back then that fit that profile.
