Issues with the Independent Horror Game Character Battle Accuracy

I believe this character tournament had several problems that made it unfair and poorly organized. Here are my main concerns:

First issue: It turned into a popularity vote instead of an actual power comparison. Many voters seemed to just pick their favorite characters without thinking about who would actually win in a fight. Since Five Nights at Freddy’s is super popular, William Afton probably won just because more people knew him.

Second problem: Nobody explained the battle conditions. Are we supposed to imagine these characters fighting in their own game worlds, or are we judging them as we see them when playing? Like, do we treat Monika as a real person or as computer code? This makes a huge difference in how strong they actually are.

Third concern: We don’t have enough information about what some characters can actually do. Characters like Freddy, Monty, and Red/The Scientist have unclear power levels. That’s probably why the Freddy vs Huggy Wuggy matchup was so close when it shouldn’t have been.

Does anyone else think these points are valid? What other problems did you notice with how this tournament was run?

Brackets get messy when you mix different game mechanics like this. Would’ve been way better to stick with characters from similar genres instead of throwing everything together.

Yeah, the whole thing was a mess. The biggest problem? Mixing characters from completely different horror games. How do you compare a jump scare animatronic to some cosmic horror entity? They don’t even exist in the same power universe. These tournaments always turn into popularity contests anyway. People vote with their hearts, not logic.

That’s a solid idea. It’ll really help compare powers more fairly and avoid the popularity contest vibe.

Yeah, the Monika thing is spot on. Are we talking about her after she deletes everyone or just normal Monika? Can’t really compare them without knowing which version we’re discussing.

Tournament rules should’ve been pinned at the top from day one tbh
