I just finished playing this unsettling game set on a spaceship. At first glance, it seems to be about capitalism, but I think there’s a deeper, darker theme.
Warning: Major spoilers ahead!
The game lets you play as two characters: Jimmy and his friend Curly. This unusual perspective really makes you think.
Here’s the main plot:
Jimmy finds out a crew member is pregnant. Scared of facing consequences back on Earth, he decides to crash the ship.
There are so many subtle hints throughout the game that point to a horrific backstory:
One character always feels sick
Jimmy’s sketchy past and his friend trying to help him
Weird interactions between crew members
Creepy hallucinations involving babies
The game seems to be exploring themes of power, responsibility, and the consequences of terrible actions. It’s pretty heavy stuff.
What do you guys think? Did anyone else pick up on these darker themes? Or am I reading too much into it?
I’d love to hear other people’s thoughts on the symbolism and what the game might really be trying to say.
Man, that’s some heavy stuff. I totally missed those deeper themes on my playthrough. The pregnancy angle and hallucinations definitely push it beyond just a space capitalism critique.
Kinda reminds me of Soma or Event Horizon with the psychological horror in space. Might need to give it another go and pay more attention to those darker elements.
Sounds like a mind-bender! The pregnancy angle and hallucinations definitely hint at something deeper. Maybe it’s exploring guilt and paranoia in isolation?
That’s a wild interpretation! I didn’t catch all those layers when I played it. The pregnancy stuff and hallucinations definitely make it more than just a space capitalism story. Kinda reminds me of some psychological horror films that mess with your head.
Whoa, that game sounds intense! I love when devs sneak in deeper meanings like that. The pregnancy plot and hallucinations are giving me some serious Silent Hill vibes. Might have to check this one out myself.
