Is Overcooked 2 better solo or with friends? What's your experience?

I’ve been switching between playing Overcooked 2 solo and with my friends, and I’m curious about other people’s experiences. When I play by myself, I feel like I can move faster and get orders done more efficiently since I don’t have to coordinate with anyone else. Maybe it’s because I work in a kitchen in real life, so the workflow feels natural to me. But I know some people say the game is more fun with others, even if it gets chaotic. I’m torn between the speed of solo play and the social aspect of multiplayer. What do you all think works better? Do you find it easier to get higher scores when playing alone, or does having teammates actually help you perform better? Would love to hear how different people approach this game.

Solo for high scores, friends for laughs and chaos

Both work great honestly. Playing with friends is pure chaos - everyone’s yelling orders while someone launches an onion across the map by accident. But for the tougher levels, I go solo. You control both chefs and don’t have to deal with communication breakdowns when things get crazy.

Depends what you’re after. Solo’s smooth - you control everything and stay efficient. But multiplayer? That’s where the real fun is. Sure, you’ll fail way more with friends, but when everyone somehow pulls it together at the last second… chef’s kiss. Plus someone always walks right in front of you carrying soup, which just adds to the chaos and laughs.

I actually prefer playing with friends even though we mess up way more. The panic and shouting when everything goes wrong is hilarious.

Friends make it way more fun but solo is definitely better for actually finishing levels
