I’ve been hearing rumors that Larian Studios might be working on Divinity Original Sin 3. After the huge success of the first two games in the series, it would make sense for them to continue the franchise. The original games were amazing with their tactical combat and cooperative gameplay features.
Has anyone seen any official announcements or credible leaks about this? I’m really hoping they bring back the same turn-based combat system and maybe improve on the character creation options. The modding community for the previous games was also incredible, so I hope they keep supporting that too.
What are your thoughts on whether we’ll actually see a third installment? Would love to hear if anyone has more concrete information about this potential development.
Last I heard they were focused on post-launch content for BG3 but nothing official about DOS3 yet. Would be awesome though since those games had such great co-op.
I think they’re really busy with BG3 stuff right now. While a new Divinity game seems like a natural move, they might lean towards something different after such a huge success. The Divinity universe has plenty of stories left to explore, so I wouldn’t be surprised if we eventually see DOS3, just not anytime soon.
Nothing concrete yet but man I really miss that Divinity charm and humor. BG3 is great but the Original Sin games had such a unique vibe with all the environmental interactions and quirky dialogue.
