Is Geometry Dash secretly a scary game? Age rating confusion

Hey everyone! I’m really confused right now. I was looking at Geometry Dash’s age rating and saw it’s 12+. But then I heard some people saying it’s actually a horror game? That doesn’t make sense to me.

I always thought Geometry Dash was just a fun music rhythm game with cube jumping. How can it be scary? Are there hidden creepy levels or something I don’t know about?

Has anyone else heard this rumor? Or am I just misunderstanding something about the game? I’d really appreciate if someone could explain what’s going on here. Thanks!
