Initial hand deal in Liar's Bar game

I’m new to playing Liar’s Bar and I’m confused about how the starting card distribution works. When we begin a new round, how many cards does each player get dealt initially? I’ve seen different people play it different ways and I want to make sure I understand the correct rules.

Also, does the dealer get the same number of cards as everyone else, or do they get a different amount? I tried looking this up but found conflicting information online. Can someone who knows the game well explain the proper way to handle the first deal?

Yeah, everyone gets 6 cards to start - dealer included. That’s how I’ve always seen it played.

Everyone gets 6 cards at the start, including the dealer. That’s the standard for the game.

I’ve been playing Liar’s Bar for a while - it’s 6 cards per player, dealer included. Everyone gets the same amount. People probably get confused because of house rules or they’re thinking of other bluffing games. Some groups use 5 cards but 6 is official. Just agree on the number before dealing.

Yep, everyone starts with 6 cards, including the dealer. Once you get the hang of it, the game gets really fun and fast-paced!

Everyone starts with 6 cards, including the dealer. That’s how it’s typically played. Sure, some folks might mix up the rules at home, but 6 cards is pretty standard. Once you get used to it, the game picks up pace pretty quickly.
