In a bleak future, only one nation creates quality video games

Hey everyone,

I’ve been thinking about this weird scenario. What if we lived in a world where only one country was capable of making good video games? And what if that country was France?

It’s a pretty crazy idea, right? Imagine all the big game studios we know now just vanishing, and suddenly all the best games are coming from French developers. How do you think that would change the gaming industry?

Would we see more games with French culture and history? Maybe more baguette-based power-ups? Or wine-tasting mini-games?

I’m curious to hear what you all think about this bizarre alternate reality. How would it affect your gaming habits? Would you start learning French to understand the games better?

Let me know your thoughts!

Weird scenario for sure. I could see a lot more games with deep storytelling and artsy vibes coming out of France. Probably some wild philosophical themes too. But man, I’d miss stuff like Japanese RPGs and American shooters. Gaming would feel way less diverse.

Interesting idea. French games could bring fresh perspectives. We might see more artistic, story-driven experiences. But I’d miss the diversity we have now in gaming.

That’s a wild thought. French games might have cool art styles and unique stories. But I’d miss the variety we get now from different countries. Games could end up feeling kinda similar after a while.

Crazy scenario. I could see a ton of games inspired by French New Wave cinema. Lots of existential plots and arthouse vibes.

But man, the gaming world would feel tiny. No more Swedish survival games or Polish fantasy epics.

French games could be cool, but I’d miss the global mashup of ideas we have now. Gaming’s better with variety.

Cool idea. French games might bring more artsy vibes and unique stories.

But I’d miss the global mix we have now. Different cultures add spice to gaming.

Still, French devs could surprise us with fresh ideas we never expected.
