I’ve been contemplating this question recently. I’m curious about how the narrative would unfold differently. Jackie and T-Bug play crucial roles at the beginning, but unfortunately, they don’t last long in the game. Jackie is your close friend, while T-Bug is the talented netrunner who assists with hacking and technical issues.
If both characters were alive throughout the entire story instead of their current fates, I wonder how that would impact V’s journey. Would the main character encounter the same challenges? Would Jackie’s presence influence interactions with Johnny Silverhand? T-Bug might also assist in solving various technical challenges as the story progresses.
Has anyone else considered this scenario? Do you believe the storyline would improve or decline with them still in the picture? I think having the original team could make some difficult situations easier to navigate.
Those early Arasaka Tower scenes would hit so much harder if the gang was still together. Instead of V being this lone wolf figure, you’d have proper crew dynamics throughout the whole story.
Man, Jackie being alive would totally change how the whole dying thing plays out. Like, V’s racing against time because of the relic, but having your best friend there for support versus going through that nightmare alone? The emotional weight would be completely different. Plus Jackie would probably be pushing V to find solutions instead of just accepting the inevitable.
T-Bug surviving would basically break half the game’s difficulty. All those corpo infiltration missions where you’re sweating over whether your breach protocol worked? She’d handle that stuff in seconds.
If Jackie was still around, I think V would handle Johnny’s attitude way differently. With Jackie having V’s back, there’d be less desperation, and V might actually stand up to Johnny when he gets too pushy about his revenge stuff.
If T-Bug had made it, the heist fallout would have turned out so differently. She was way more careful than Jackie, so I bet she could have seen Dex’s betrayal coming. Plus, with a solid netrunner, a lot of missions would be a breeze. All those times V has to hack into corpo systems would be no big deal for her.
