I’ve been following the Steam player counts, and I’m really surprised by the numbers for the new Battlefield beta. It got over 330,000 concurrent players in just a few hours, which is incredible compared to earlier titles. This is double the player count of the 2042 beta and three times what 2042 itself had at launch. Has anyone else noticed this huge difference in player numbers? What factors do you think are attracting so many players to this beta compared to the last game? I’m interested in whether this indicates the franchise is making a strong comeback or if it’s just typical beta excitement.
Plus it’s back to modern warfare setting which tons of people missed
Everyone’s desperate for a good Battlefield game after 2042 was such a mess. We haven’t had a solid one in years, so people are really wanting something decent. Free beta doesn’t hurt either - we all want to see if they actually figured out what went wrong.
Totally, the disappointment from 2042 made players cautious, but now they’re curious if this one will hit the mark. And let’s be real, free betas always get a ton of players jumping in to try it out.
