Help me identify a lesser-known PC horror game from the early 2020s

I’m trying to find a PC horror game I played a few years back. It was an indie title that wasn’t super popular. Here’s what I remember:

  • The game started in a fancy car parked outside a luxurious house
  • You explore this high-end home with expensive stuff everywhere
  • There’s a creepy black ghost that shows up in the kitchen first
  • Your character’s wife gets killed in the basement (I think)
  • As you go through the house, the walls get all sticky and black
  • It had lots of jump scares, especially upstairs
  • The game got darker and scarier as you went along
  • It was pretty simple to play - just walking around and getting scared
  • I’m pretty sure I got it on Steam

Does anyone know what this game might be? It’s been bugging me for ages! Thanks for any help you can give.

That game sounds intense! The creepy black ghost and walls getting sticky are intriguing touches. Have you tried searching Steam’s horror tag for games from that time period? Might help jog your memory.

Sounds like a pretty wild horror game! I love those indie ones that mess with your mind. The way the house gets all messed up as you go along is a cool touch. Wish I could help ID it, but there are so many hidden gems out there. Hope you find it!

Whoa, that game sounds like a real mindbender. The fancy house turning into a nightmare is a cool twist. Ever check out horror game compilation videos on YouTube? Might spot it there.

Man, that game sounds super creepy. The sticky black walls and ghost remind me of Layers of Fear, but some details don’t match up. Have you checked out itch.io? Lots of indie horror games on there that flew under the radar. Good luck finding it!

Damn, that game sounds intense. The fancy house turning into a nightmare is such a trippy concept. Have you tried browsing through horror game lists on Reddit? There are some solid communities for obscure horror titles that might recognize it.

Those sticky black walls and the creepy ghost are giving me chills just thinking about it. Hope you track it down!
