I was replaying It Takes Two recently and noticed something interesting. There’s a book called “A Way In” which caught my attention since their last game was “A Way Out”. But then I realized the two female silhouettes on the cover actually look like the main characters from Split Fiction. What really got me excited was when I looked closer at the book cover. The authors listed are “Zoe” and “Mio” which are exactly the character names from Split Fiction, and they’re both writers in that game too. This easter egg was planted way before Split Fiction was even announced publicly. I’m probably not the first to notice this detail, but I think it’s awesome how the developers planted these hints so far in advance. Makes me wonder what other secrets are hiding in their games.
I wonder if the book has any actual text or just cool cover art.
Damn, Hazelight’s playing the long game here. Love when devs think that far ahead with their stories. Makes me wonder if they already had Split Fiction mapped out while working on It Takes Two. These connections between games always make me respect the studio more.
Nice catch! Totally missed that on my playthrough. Hazelight’s great at connecting their games like that.
That’s actually really cool. Love when developers do this - shows they planned the whole game way before announcing it. Makes you appreciate the attention to detail even more. Now I’m wondering what other breadcrumbs they’ve hidden in their older games that we haven’t found yet.
That’s some serious long-term planning. Makes me want to go back and hunt for more hidden stuff.
Shows how much thought goes into these games beyond what’s on the surface. Pretty clever marketing too.
