I’ve been thinking about how cool it would be if someone made a movie based on Chained Together. You know, that climbing game where three people are literally connected and trying to escape from the underworld. If you had unlimited budget and could pick any three actors, who would you go with?
I’m picturing maybe one younger actor who can handle action scenes, then perhaps someone in their 40s or 50s who’s great at comedy and dialogue. For the third person, maybe an older performer who still does amazing physical work in films.
The whole concept seems like it would make for great cinema with all the teamwork dynamics and climbing sequences. What actors do you think would work best together for something like this?
The Rock, Michael Shannon, and Zendaya could totally pull this off. Shannon’s got that weird intensity down, and The Rock can handle all the heavy lifting.
Love this idea but I’d cast it totally different. Keanu Reeves, Tilda Swinton, and Jacob Elordi. Keanu’s perfect for the action and philosophical hell stuff. Swinton’s got that otherworldly vibe that’d fit the setting. Elordi can handle all the climbing scenes. The three of them chained together would create some seriously weird chemistry.
Honestly, this game’s got film written all over it. All that tension plus the teamwork aspect would be perfect. Tom Holland’s my pick for the young guy since he’s already nailed the crazy physical stunts. Ryan Reynolds or Paul Rudd for the comedy relief middle-aged character. Hugh Jackman for the older one. Dude’s still ripped and can handle action scenes no problem. Being literally stuck together would create some comedy gold between all the intense climbing.
