I just found out something cool about the horror game Dead By Daylight. It turns out the same company that made Payday is behind it. Behaviour Interactive developed it and Starbreeze Studios published it.
It’s crazy how popular this game has become. They’ve got all these horror characters from different movies and games. And the player base is huge – I heard it’s over 100,000 people playing every day on different consoles and PC.
What really blows my mind is how much money it makes. Apparently, they’re pulling in millions each year just from selling character skins and stuff.
Has anyone else played this game? What do you think makes it so successful compared to other horror games out there?
I’ve sunk way too many hours into Dead by Daylight. The asymmetrical multiplayer is what makes it so addictive. Playing as the killer or survivor feels like two totally different games. And yeah, the licensed characters are a huge draw. Where else can you have Michael Myers chasing Ash Williams? It’s like a horror fan’s dream come true.
Dead by Daylight is solid. The asymmetrical gameplay keeps it interesting, and all those horror icons are a big draw. I’ve played a bit and it’s tense as heck, especially when you’re the last survivor. Not surprised it’s making bank.
Never played Dead by Daylight but I’ve watched some streams. Looks intense! The mix of stealth and chases seems pretty unique for a horror game. Might have to give it a try soon and see what the hype’s about.
