Hey everyone! I’m working on a new game project and I could use some advice. I’m trying to make a simulator where you manage a parking garage. It’s kind of like RollerCoaster Tycoon, but with cars instead of rides. I’m not sure where to start though. Should I focus on the parking mechanics first or the management side? Has anyone made something similar before? What kind of features do you think would be fun in a game like this? I’m thinking about adding things like different types of vehicles, pricing strategies, and maybe even events that affect parking demand. Any suggestions would be awesome! Thanks in advance for your help!
Focus on parking mechanics first. That’s the heart of your game.
Once that’s solid, add management layers.
Maybe include some crazy car designs or wacky situations to keep things fun?
Sounds interesting! Start with the core parking mechanics. Get cars moving in and out smoothly. Then layer on management stuff like pricing and different vehicle types. Could add random events too, like concerts nearby causing parking rushes.
I’d start with the parking mechanics. Get those cars moving smoothly in and out of spaces. That’s the core gameplay loop right there. Once that’s solid, you can build the management stuff on top.
For features, how about adding some challenges? Like dealing with entitled drivers who park across two spaces or handling holiday shopping rush periods. Could be fun to balance keeping customers happy while maximizing profits.
That’s a cool idea for a game. I’d love to see different layouts for the garages, like multi-level or weird shapes. Maybe add some mini-games for the attendants too, like racing to get cars parked quickly during rush hour.
Parking sim sounds cool! Maybe add some crazy scenarios like monster truck rallies or zombie apocalypses to spice things up. Could be fun managing chaos while still trying to keep the garage running smooth.
