I have this crazy game concept that keeps bouncing around in my head. What if there was a multiplayer game where one team tries to destroy all the books in libraries while another team races to save them?
Two Teams Setup:
Book Burners - Your job is to torch everything. Hunt down people trying to save books, find hidden collections, and cause chaos. You get flamethrowers but they can backfire on you if the other team gets smart.
Book Savers - Race through burning buildings to rescue as many books as possible. Help librarian characters who give you hints about secret areas. Use stealth to take down the burners and parkour skills to navigate collapsing structures.
Main Features:
- Fire spreads realistically and changes the map as you play
- Fast movement system like wall-running and jumping between falling objects
- NPC librarians who act as double agents and shout warnings
- Tools like fire extinguishers to slow flames or blind enemies
- Special rare books worth tons of points
- Hidden rooms that only get revealed when walls burn down or librarians tell you about them
- Voice chat so teams can coordinate or trash talk in real time
The scoring works like territory control but instead of capturing zones you are saving or destroying knowledge. The actual building damage does not matter for points.
I think this could make a statement about protecting information while being super fun to play. The visuals could be amazing with old library architecture and dramatic lighting from all the fires.
