BG3 completely destroyed my ability to enjoy other games

After beating Baldur’s Gate 3 earlier this year, I can’t seem to get into anything else I try playing. The level of storytelling, character development, and world building was just incredible. Every other game I pick up feels boring or shallow compared to it. Maybe it’s just me dealing with some personal stuff too, but nothing hits the same way. Has anyone else experienced this after playing BG3? What games have you found that actually managed to grab your attention afterward? I’m thinking about doing another playthrough but want to give it some time first so it doesn’t feel stale.

I get this completely. BG3 wrecked me for three months after I finished it. What worked was going totally different - grabbed some mindless action games and indies instead of hunting for another deep RPG. Sometimes your brain just needs to reset before diving into something that intense again. Witcher 3 might hit that same spot when you’re ready.

Divinity Original Sin 2 hits that same spot if you want something similar but different enough.

Yeah BG3 sets the bar crazy high. I had good luck with Disco Elysium after - the writing and dialogue choices hit just as deep, just differently.
