Hey guys, I’m on the hunt for a game that makes me feel like I’m really living in another world and getting somewhere. I’ve tried a bunch of MMOs but none of them really clicked. I’ve jumped from FFXIV to WoW, then OSRS, ESO, New World, and even Neverwinter.
I’ve spent the most time in FFXIV and SWTOR, but I’m after something where I can build a character who grows in different skills - both fighting and life skills - with gameplay that’s actually fun. I’ve played games like Destiny too, but they don’t give me that sense of being part of a world or really progressing.
What I’m after is a game that’s actually multiplayer and social, where I can hang out with other people. I feel like I’ve tried everything out there. Am I missing some hidden gem? Any ideas would be awesome!
Man, I feel you on that search for the perfect MMO experience. Have you looked into Project Gorgon? It’s got that old-school vibe with tons of skills to level up, both combat and non-combat. The community’s pretty tight-knit too.
Another one to check out might be Albion Online. It’s got that sandbox feel where player interactions really matter. The skill system is pretty unique, and you can definitely feel your character growing over time.
Both of these are a bit more niche, but they might scratch that itch you’re talking about.
Have you tried Black Desert Online? It’s got a ton of life skills alongside combat. The world feels alive and there’s always people around to chat with. Grinding can be a bit much sometimes but the social aspects are pretty solid.
